JGB, y'all

Category: Ballardosphere, cyberpunk

Writer Chris Nakashima-Brown, instigator of the glorious Bruce Sterling/JG Ballard mashup on this site, and a man who has been described by a reviewer as “JG Ballard with a Texan twang”, was interviewed by cyberpunk holdout RU Sirius about “applied Ballardianism and the cyberpunk perspective on the war on terror”. Listen to the mp3 here — and marvel at new perspectives on the ‘cultural death stars’ and ‘medieval necromancers’ that are fighting each other to the death as we speak.

In the second installment, up next week, Chris promises they’ll talk “at greater length about JGB”. Let’s hold him to that.

Meanwhile, Chris’s dense, punning, cyberdelic short story, Welcome Back Qatar — his latest — is recommended.
