Ballard event. I thought he was gracious and very likeable and funny. In contrast the interviewer looked bored and unintersted, despite saying what a fan of Ballard's work he was. The questioned he asked were so frustratingly dull. Did anybody else get this impression? I'd like to hear people's reactions. Was it just me expecting too much? I even felt he was editing the Questions as Ballard strained to hear him or make sense of the audiences questions. It's my first time meeting Ballard and I was left wishing the situation wasn't so structured. He's a writer with so much to say, you feel he was just getting going when the event finished.
